KITTENS
So I haven't told you this yet, but I'm actually thrilled that this weekend we're getting KITTENS!!! I know, exciting. I haven't met them yet, but these photos have been sent to us, aren't they just lovely? Truth be told, I've never been a massive cat person and have always wanted a dog. Sadly our home situation has never been able to accommodate a dog - we're all out of the house most of the day. Anyway, a few weeks ago our neighbours asked us to look after their cats while they were away. Suffice to say they were taking part in a house swap, and the people who arrived brought a dog with them.
Hello Fish and Jasper moving into our humble abode.
That has since been and gone, but the cats still seem to split their time between living next door and here. (I think they assume we might feed them twice.) Anyway to cut a long story short, it made us realise that we really liked having cats around and that we actually could manage with being four proud parents (Myself, my Mum and two brothers) to two rather foxy kittens.
Obviously four adults equals a huge naming dispute. The little tiger is male and the little inky splotch, female.
I wanted Dylan and Nellie (which I still maintain are superior names - I may still try to teach them that this is indeed, what they are called), however Momma G and Ed will be going to pick up little Rufus and Indie from Cornwall on Saturday.
Not only that, but my boy face is coming down for the weekend after work on friday. I literally couldn't be more excited for this weekend (well, maybe slightly more so if my double bed arrived, but alas it isn't coming for a couple of weeks).
Anyway, expect a bajillion kitten photos scattered amongst the jewellery! Hope everyone has something to look forward to at the weekend. x

Bookends - Custom Design
This is the third bridesmaid's bracelet I'm working on... it possibly needs a little tweeking- an additional horse charm has been requested, so I now need to try and source one of those! I'm currently watching Men in Black - who doesn't enjoy a bit of Will Smith!

For all the sunny days we shoved up on the shelf.
I wasn't entirely sure if I wanted to include these photos on my blog, perhaps they're a little personal for the nature of Wallpaper Rose Jewellery - you never know, I might get cold feet and remove it later! However, for now, these are a few photos from my Graduation which took place yesterday, with a few of my favourite people. x

As I confessed yesterday, I've been an utterly useless blogger as of late, however my absence does mean that I had a back log of mentally prepared outfits to share with you! I apologise that they are all heavily Topshop based, but having trawled their website recently, there are just so many things I desire! Sad, huh? Anyway, the general linking themes are the transition into Autumnal colours and materials (I don't know about you, but I'm already cold) and also bordering on 'work wear'. I've been thinking recently about if I do ever get an interview for an internship, or even better, an actual paid job of worth, that I have nothing smart enough to wear! The idea of a dull, cheap suit bores me to tears, but I've always wanted the excuse to create some fashionable-smart mix.
Anyway, you may disagree with me entirely, it did dawn on me recently how heinously unfashionable I am - I actually do live in jeans. The introduction of a 'snood' is also a new thing for me. Last year I had a faint disdain for them, but now I'm not convinced my neck will be complete without one! And I absolutely love the dark lavender shade.
In other news, my attention was brought to Zara online fairly recently. Their online shopping function has only just been launched, so I thought I would have a look. Zara isn't somewhere I would normally shop, I always considering it a little out of my price range and maybe a little grown up. (at 24, you would think I should have realised that most places are no longer 'too grown up' for me, other than maybe the Edinburgh Wool Mill....) But having purused their website, I'm now desperate to find a Zara. Not only is their clothing far more affordable than I imagined, but there are great designs and colour schemes... I'm hoping to be able to find one in Bristol later today.
In one final note, tomorrow is the dreaded G Day.
That's right.
Graduation Day.
I know, I know, most people would be excited. But I'm not most people.
I'm the person who's panicking about tripping on the stage and embarrassing myself fully. Ick. Wish me luck on that front. I've got a simple navy blue Motel dress to wear and after much deliberation, I've actually decided I'm going to wear my Grandma's pearls, rather than a Wallpaper Rose special. I know, controversial. I always hoped by the time I graduated that I would be able to achieve elegance (and maybe thinness) but rest assured, neither have been achieved.
Right, I'm rambling, so I'll leave you be - but I hope you like the outfits, I'd love to know your thoughts.

Making islands where no island should go
Coming soon to Wallpaper Rose!
I'm so sorry, I feel like I've abandoned the blog recently, things have been so hectic, but I have so many things I want to blog about! I'll try and do another post later- to get the proverbial ball rolling again, but I think I'm going to go and dye my hair now! (I'll let you know if there are any disasters!) x
